Planning to take the Peachtree State by storm, David Starr and the Spears Motorsports crew feel confident about Round 22 of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Saturday, October 29.

"I love Atlanta," says Starr with a bright twinkle in his eye. "The track is just awesome and really, really fast. It is multi-grooved which means you can pass low, high and in the middle and that makes for spectacular racing. It is similar to my home track, Texas Motor Speedway and really suits my style of driving. This will be the third time we have competed there and hopefully that old saying, 'the third time is the charm' will hold true for us and we will be the ones who grab the Checkered at the end."

Running at Atlanta earlier this season, Starr put the No. 75 Spears Chevy Silverado in fifth place. "Atlanta is a track that requires a good aero package, lots of horsepower and a good handling truck", continues Starr. "We were lucky enough to be able to test a couple of weeks ago and our Spears Chevy was definitely up to the job. I know we have the right truck and the right motor to get the job done."

One of the most highly contested series in racing today, the NASCAR Craftsman Series driver roster is incredibly strong. "This is a series that just gets better and better each season," exclaims the Texas native. "The caliber of drivers is top of the line and being able to score a victory is really an accomplishment. So far this year there have been 14 different winners and our goal is to be the 15th. We have a great Chevy truck and one of the very best crews in the industry so I feel our chances are good. There is nothing in the book that says we can't be the ones to cross that Finish Line first."

Qualifying for the 200.2 Mile/130 Lap Easy Care 200 takes place on Saturday morning, October 29 at 11:30 AM (ET) with racer taking the Green Flag at 3:15 PM (ET). Check out TruckSeries.com for qualifying and if you can't be there in person, tune into SPEED TV for flag to flag live race action.####
