SCOTT LYNCH LOOKS TO MAKE HIS MARK AT ATLANTA NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK RACE

Las Vegas…Looking to make his mark in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Scott Lynch and the Orleans Racing team head for Atlanta Motor Speedway and the Easy Care 200, Saturday, October 29.

"This will be my second race in the 62 Orleans Dodge this season," says Lynch, who has previously driven selected Craftsman Truck events under the Orleans Racing banner. "To date our best finish was 12th. Now we want to better that. Our goal for Atlanta is to bring home a top ten. Luckily the team tested the No. 62 Dodge there a few weeks ago and it was really strong. I know that the Orleans crew put together top of the line Dodge trucks. The rest will be up to me."

This will mark the first time Lynch has ever raced at the well-known Atlanta Speedway. "I know it is an extremely fast track with multiple grooves for passing," continues Lynch. Luckily we have two practice sessions on Friday and that hopefully will give me enough time to learn all the ins-and-outs of the track, plus I will be able to get some good advice from my teammate Brendan Gaughan which will be invaluable. I know it is an extremely fast track with multiple grooves for passing. The racing I've watched at Atlanta is awesome and I'm excited to have the opportunity to compete there."

Finishing in the top ten is nothing new to this Burley, Idaho native. Running in this season's NASCAR Grand National West Series, Lynch earned two wins, nine top fives and 10 top tens. In addition, this young man has earned an excellent reputation for being able to come from the back of the pack to the front.

"We actually had a good run last weekend at Martinsville, though our finish didn't show it," adds Lynch. "This time, we plan to get a good starting spot and enjoy both a good run and a good finish."

Qualifying for the 200.2 Mile/130 Lap Easy Care 200 takes place on Saturday morning, October 29 at 11:30 AM (ET) with race action getting underway at 3:15 PM (ET). Check out TruckSeries.com for qualifying and if you can't be there in person, tune into SPEED TV for complete live race action.####
