Joe Herold
Joe Herold's trailer which included his race car, back up car, two motors, all his tools, etc. burned to the ground last night outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico. What happened was the axle failed caught a tire on fire. It is my understanding the cab was saved.

At this time we are not sure of Herold's plans for the race. There are drivers/owners ready to offer support if needed.

Please feel free to leave your prayers and thoughts for Herold and his team.

Prayers and Support For Joe Herold
  • Gail & Pat Colbon / Canada
Joe, Barry & team, what devastating news! We all know how much dedication is involved in the making of a great team and then to have a tragedy like this happen, it has to hit hard. We had the opportunity to watch one of the races while visiting Cindy & Barry O'Brien (brother-in-law)in California. The race was incredibly exciting and we look forward to attending more races in the future. Best of luck with everything.

To Joe & the team - We're so saddened (and still very shocked) by the news of your devastating loss this morning. Having been part of the team/family, it's hit us more than it normally would. Just knowing what hard team-work, determination & time that has been put into the team/cars over the past years, it's hard to think about it being gone. We wish you the best of luck in whatever route you choose to take after this. All our wishes, thoughts & prayers are out to you & the team. We hope to see you back in a car & racing real soon. All our love & support, Norm & Jenny

  • Nick
I'm sorry to hear about that. That is horrible. If you haven't found another car to run, you may want to consider contacting some of the local late model teams in Colorado as they run the same rules as the SWS. Just a thought and again, so sorry to hear about his.

  • Becky
